 Historic Central New York:
Celebrating 19th Century Social Reform
 Central New York State has a rich history, most especially notable for its 
contribution to the social and religious reform movements of the Nineteenth 
Century. Between Ohio and Massachusetts (most particularly between Rochester and 
Utica, New York) lived many of the leaders of the great reform movements whose 
contributions shaped the world of their time and dramatically altered the course 
of global events. This site was created to promote understanding of the many 
important events in the history of American Social Reform that will be
